I just found out that in July, Delmark recorded a gig at Rosa's Lounge in Chicago with Carey Bell and Lurrie Bell. Not only will this be released as a CD but as a DVD as well. I haven't found any release date for this yet, and I imagine it's gonna be a little while still, considering the production of a DVD is no trivial matter, but it's great news ! Let's hope Lurrie was on an on night !

I was at that concert - the first half anyway. Just couldn't stay out that late, sad to say. They were good, though I'd seen Carey do better. He was hurt that night. I don't remember how, something to do with his leg. I'd never seen Lurrie perform before, and he was great. By the way, his name is misspelled at the top of your post. Just an FYI.

Good point ! I'll fix that immediately. Do you have any idea when it's likely to see the light of day (or rather, the laser beam of a DVD player ?)

Sorry, I don't. The Delmark people were there and mentioned they were planning on releasing the show as a DVD, but if they mentioned a release date, I don't recall it. I kind of doubt they mentioned one anyway. It all seemed a little "on the fly." ;)
