The News & Observer published a great article by David Menconi about the legendary Stevie Wonder which focuses particularly on his harmonica playing. It's entitled Harmonica of Wonder. Speaking of Stevie Wonder, do you know For Once in My Life? Click below and you will.

Thanks for the tip. I have to say though, the circular breathing thing sounds like a stretch to me. I just don't think that's a major part of a.) playing the chromatic or b.) playing the chromatic like Stevie Wonder. I can't prove that it isn't, but I haven't heard proof that it is either.
On another note (no pun intended) why talk to Rick Estrin? Lovely guy, really, but what does that have to do with Stevie? It's funny, being in the harmonica community, it's just impossible to read an article like this and not think "this writer talked to all the wrong people." Where's Winslow? And where's the list of great Stevie harmonica tracks?
Ah well.. at least it gives me an excuse to fire up my Wonder-ful playlist (that's actually what's it called. I'm a dork.)
