Last weekend, Esbjörn Svensson, pianist of the fabled Swedish trio E.S.T. died tragically ni a scuba diving accident. I never got to see him live, but I loved the music he produced with E.S.T.
Rest in Peace, Esbjörn.

I was fortunate enough to hear them last year at the paris jazz festival, and as often with jazz music, they were even more enjoyable live than in their (really good) records. I'm not really into trios usually, except when they got something really special, and so did e.s.t. Sad.
