I discovered saxophonist Skerik when he was playing with Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade, and then stumbled upon him later with Garage à Trois and on Stanton Moore's albums. His own band, Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet is grooved up jazz and horn-rich, and I recently found a second-hand copy of Husky, their second CD which is pretty awesome.
