US radio station NPR ran a feature on Howard Levy last week in their series In Their Own Words. You can hear Howard Levy talking about his harmonica playing and music in general. Perhaps more interestingly for some, NPR features three non-commerically released pieces composed and played by Howard Levy:
- the Waltz from his Concerto for Diatonic Harmonica and Orchestra
- Ruminations, a slow piano and harmonica jazz piece that should please those who liked his Trio Globo stuff
- Blues Dirge, an amplified off-kilter blues quasi solo
Enjoy!
