Since June 1st, the podcasts are functional again. Sorry for the hassle. I notice there are no comments at all about the latest podcast. Do you really all hate it or have you not listened to it ?

I for one listened to it, and I guess I'm not the only one. I really like it, but I felt like there was not much I could say about it, and as the saying goes, "Do not speak unless you can improve the silence".
But anyways, I've been enjoying your blog so much for the last few years (and I learnt quite a lot along the way), that I feel that I owe you at least that much.
So I played the podcast again (must be the third or 4th time), and took some mental notes. For what they're worth, here they are :
- First song by the Grateful dead. I know the band, at least the name, but I know only a few songs. It was a real pleasure to listen to this one. I admit I didn't pay much attention to the lyrics, but just got carried away by the music. Promise I'll listen again :)
- The next one is "darker". I didn't know the band "Gov't Mule". Only saw it mentionned on this blog before. I also liked the music, as it really stands out after the more dynamic first song.
- The third, by moe (again, never heard of them except on these pages), was closer to the Grateful Dead. Very good Idea to have put "Gov't Mule" in between.
- Then J. Ricci. I knew about him already. I really like what he is doing (saw on your blog about his new release, put it on my list !). Anyways, it's true that it's less "jam rock" than the previous ones, but definitely worth listening to. Very nice guitar/harp duet towards the end. Ricci is fast.
- Umphrey's McGee , also read about them in one of your posts. This song gets the award of the "most different styles in the same song". If it were not for the singer's voice, it would be hard to believe that it actually is the same band playing. Nice mix of sweet child of mine / sweet home Alabama at the very end :)
- Last song by Derek Trucks Band. I had just read about him on this site some days before. Very nice sound. The beginning was less "easy listening", because the lyrics take more space. Then, very original Guitar/flute Question and Answer session. Thinking about it, it's probably the first time I hear those two instruments played that way ...
All in all a very good podcast. Very easy to listen to for untrained hears (not experimental or old school blues), and yet a real pleasure for people (like me) who feel frustrated at the end of the 1 minute songs that get broadcasted all around.
Of topic, but i'll take this opportunity to thank you for the posts about harmonica sur Cher. I really wish I'll attend someday !
Also, I'll keep your "what's hot to buy" article in my bookmarks.
And of a long comment. I have a lot more to take than to give, but I really thank you for widening my musical world. Once more.
